Holiday Parks in Bridlington & Skipsea

Bridlington is a seaside resort town on the east coast of Yorkshire in East Yorkshire about half way between Filey to the north and Hornsea to the south. The town is the lobster capital of Europe and has a thriving fishing fleet that primarily catch shellfish. There are two beaches in Bridlington, the north and south beach, both are great for families that want to spend a day by the beach. There are several holiday parks in Bridlington and around the nearby beaches including Barmston, Wilsthorpe and Skipsea. There are a good number of Bridlington caravan parks that offer static caravans, lodges, touring pitches and camping for people looking for a beachside holiday on the Yorkshire coast.

The beaches at Bridlington, Wilsthopre, Fraisthorpe and Barmston are great, Bridlington’s two beaches are both long stretches of sand backed by the town and the promenade with cafes, shops and takeaways easy to access. There is also a land train along the north beach if you want to find a quiet spot. Wilsthorpe to the south is another long sandy beach, quieter than Bridlington and dog friendly. Fraisthorpe and Barmston beaches are pretty similar with long stretches of sand, family friendly and lots of space. The number of beaches here means it is always easy to grab yourself some space and relax and play in the sand and sea.

Bridlington itself is a welcoming small town geared up for tourists, the old town area is great for shopping and has numerous independent shops. The harbour area is always busy with fishing boats coming and going and a number of yachts and day trip boats as well, the area is great for sea fishing if you fancy a day out at sea. Sewerby Hall is a great day out if you like exploring heritage homes, as is Burton Agnes Hall. There are several great golf courses in the area as well and the leisure centre has flumes to keep the kids entertained on a wet day.

There are a number of large holiday parks in Bridlington, Barmston and the surrounding villages. Good sized award winning parks with entertainment, great facilities like indoor and outdoor pools and dog friendly holidays, actually a really good place to bring your dog as the beaches are generally dog friendly and have lots of space. There are numerous touring parks around Bridlington, making the most of the beaches and several campsites around Bridlington, Skipsea and Flamborough with easy access to the beaches.
