Holiday Parks in Mid Glamorgan

Mid Glamorgan in South Wales is not actually a county any more but the name is still used widely to refer to a large area from Cardiff to Porthcawl, the Rhondda Valley and Merthyr Tydfil. There are a small number of holiday parks, campsites and touring parks in Mid Glamorgan and one super park, Trecco Bay which is huge.

The beaches are limited here but Porth Cawl is great and along with Barry, these are the most popular beach resorts. Barry actually has a really nice beach backed by a promenade and loads going on behind the beach with a fun fair in permanent residence, amusement arcades, fish and chip shops galore and regular events. With easy access and a short drive from Cardiff, Barry gets busy and is great fun, if you like a lot of action, Barry has it and lots of character. Porthcawl is the best location along the coast if you want a beachside holiday in the Vale of Glamorgan, it has seven beaches with Coney Beach, Trecco Bay, Ogmore Beach and Rest Bay being amongst the most popular ones. The beaches get busy in the summer months and they are popular with surfers all year around. Great for  bucket and spade holiday, great sand and easy access with lots of fun in the waves to be had.

There are several independent holiday parks in Mid Glamorgan and the Vale of Glamorgan along with Trecco Bay. Many of these are near the main beaches and there are several more rural holiday parks offering camping, caravan and lodge holidays the Mid Glamorgan along with rural touring holiday parks and motorhome parks for you to enjoy.
