Hayle sits on the north coast of Cornwall, close to St Ives and offers a wide range of holiday parks and campsites in the local area. Hayle was once a major centre for the copper industry from the mid 18th century and this led to major developments in the town area, notably around the port. The beaches are the main attraction in Hayle and the surrounding area. There is a three mile stretch at low tide with different parts of the same strip having different names. From the south working north you have Hayle Beach, then onto Mexico Towans Baeach and then the Towans, then Upton Towans beach followed by Gwithian and Godrevey at the end with the best surf at the latter two beaches. There are numerous surf schools in the area so if you have never tried this fantastic sport, have a go and get some lessons.

Having a large number of holiday parks, Hayle has a well developed selection of things to do in the local area.  Take a day out at the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary or go karting at the fantastic karting track nearby. You can visit St Ives, by train or road or spend a day at the amazing Carbis Bay, now that is a really stunning beach. There are shops, bars, takeaways and quality restaurants for you to enjoy, plenty of surf shops, sea kayaking or SUP riding, something for everyone.

All of this means that you are spoilt for choice when it comes to holiday accommodation, what a choice. There are several really large touring and caravan parks right near the beaches here in Hayle with everything on offer with swimming pools, entertainment and all of the facilities you will need.
