Barmouth Bay Holiday Park is right on the beach and that is the main draw here but if the weather isn’t great, they have a large indoor heated swimming pool plus a splash pool for the smaller one. They also have a multi-use sports court, ideal for ball games like football plus a great castle themed adventure playground with lots of rope walks and climbing challenges for kids of all ages.
The park doesn’t have a restaurant or bar but there is a coffee van that supplies fresh coffee, other drinks and snacks near to the reception and the park also has a launderette. This is a relatively quiet, peaceful and welcoming park by the beach, very relaxing and ideal for families and couples that want to relax, enjoy the sea air and get away from it all.
Places to Visit Near Barmouth Bay Holiday Park
There are loads of places to visit nearby if you can get away from the beach and one of the most popular is a trip on the Ffestiniog steam railway in Snowdonia, enjoy the stunning landscape from the comfort of a carriage with amazing views. Barmouth itself is really pretty with boats by the harbour and plenty of shops and places to eat. Dolgellau is really worth the visit and a bit of a tourist mecca for the area, a great base with lots of outdoor activity options nearby and a completely stunning backdrop.
Harlech is beautiful, set below the castle which is well worth a visit and Porthmadog is really popular. If you want things to do nearby, we have a great one for you. Zip World, if you dare, go down a zip line at up to 100mph and 500 foot above ground, a unique experience, you can do it! There’s Snowdonia to explore, kayaking, walks and mountain biking plus hiking up the mountains. Along with that, the many beaches along the coastline here including Harlech beach and Black Rock Sands but you are already on a great beach anyway!
